Helium Tank Rental Policy
Helium Tank Rental Agreement & Terms and Conditions
This Helium Tank Rental Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Charleston Balloon Company(“Company”) and the customer (“Customer”). By completing a rental transaction, Customer agrees to the following legally binding terms:
1. Rental Eligibility & Verification
Customer must be the individual who placed the order and must present at pickup:
- A valid government-issued driver’s license
- The credit card used for the transaction
Failure to meet these requirements may result in refusal of rental without refund.
2. Rental Period
The standard rental period is three (3) business days unless otherwise specified. All equipment must be returned by the agreed-upon due date.
3. Security Deposit Authorization
Customer authorizes a refundable security deposit hold, if applicable, at the time of pickup.
- Deposit amounts may vary based on equipment rented
- Deposit will be released upon timely return of equipment in original condition
- Company reserves the right to apply the deposit toward damages, late fees, or replacement costs
4. Late Returns & Non-Return
Equipment not returned within twenty-four (24) hours after the due date will be deemed unreturned.
Customer agrees that the Company may charge the full replacement cost as follows:
- Standard Helium Tank (27): $250–$400
- Large Helium Tank (55): $400–$600
- Regulator: $75–$150
Charleston Balloon Company reserves the right to charge the card on file without further notice.
5. Equipment Condition & Acceptance
Customer acknowledges that at the time of pickup:
- All equipment is received in optimal, working condition
- The helium tank is full
Written verification will be taken at pickup to document condition and fulfillment.
No refunds or adjustments will be made after equipment leaves the premises.
6. No Refund Policy
All rentals are final. No refunds, credits, or partial reimbursements will be issued for unused helium or early returns.
7. Use, Handling & Transportation
Customer agrees to:
- Operate equipment safely and as intended
- Transport tanks in a secure, upright position
- Regulators and other equipment are removed from tank
- House equipment in a safe environment
Customer assumes full responsibility for any risk of injury, damage, or loss during use or transport.
8. Damage, Loss, or Theft
Customer is fully responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of equipment during the rental period.
Charges may include:
- Full replacement cost
- Repair costs (if applicable)
- Cleaning or restoration fees, if equipment is returned in poor condition
9. Limitation of Liability
Charleston Balloon Company shall not be held liable for:
- Improper use or handling of equipment
- Balloon performance or float duration
- Any event-related outcomes
All equipment is provided “as is” without warranties beyond those required by law.
10. Indemnification
Customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Charleston Balloon Company, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from the rental or use of equipment.
11. Payment Authorization
Customer authorizes Charleston Balloon Company to charge the payment method on file for:
- Late returns
- Damaged equipment
- Lost or unreturned items
- Applicable fees outlined in this Agreement
12. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of South Carolina.
